Die sieben Weisen
In der älteren griechischen Tradition bezeichnete man sieben Staatsmänner aus dem 7. und 6. Jh. v. u. Z. als die sieben Weisen. In seinem Dialog Protagoras nennt Platon Bias von Priene, Chilon von Lakedaimon, Kleobulos von Lindos, Periandros von Korinth, Pittakos von Mytilene, Solon von Athen und Thales von Milet. Mitunter werden auch andere genannt, so z. B. Myson.
